Of No Account by Ruth Lamb tells the story of Adam Livesey, a man who feels unimportant and believes he has no value in the world. He struggles with poverty and hard work, thinking that his life is of little worth. But the story takes a turn when Adam begins to discover that his true identity and value don’t come from what others think of him or even his struggles, but from something much deeper.

Adam meets a kind new manager who sees his hard work and cares about him as a person. Through their conversations, Adam starts to realize that his worth is not based on his circumstances but on the fact that he is loved by God. The manager introduces him to the idea that, while life is full of hardship, our true value is found in Christ, who cares for us deeply.
