Charles Bridges (1794–1869) was a respected English evangelical pastor, author, and theologian, best known for his deeply spiritual commentaries on Scripture. A leading voice among the 19th-century Evangelical clergy in the Church of England, Bridges served as vicar of Old Newton in Suffolk and later of Weymouth in Dorset.
