James Dabney McCabe Jr. (1842–1883) was an American author from Richmond, Virginia, and the son of a Methodist clergyman. Educated at the Virginia Military Institute, he wrote extensively after the Civil War, producing histories, biographies, and moral works. He often published under the pseudonym Edward Winslow Martin and was known for his vivid depictions of American life and Christian virtue.
