John Harris (1802–1856) was an English Congregationalist minister, theologian, and prolific evangelical writer. He served as Principal of Cheshunt College, where he trained ministers for Nonconformist service. Harris wrote extensively on theology, missions, moral reform, and Christian discipleship, including The Great Teacher, The Great Commission, and Mammon; or, Covetousness. His works are marked by earnest biblical conviction, moral seriousness, and a strong call to spiritual integrity within the church.
