Mary Geraldine Guinness (25 Dec 1862 – 6 Jun 1949), known to readers as Mrs. Howard Taylor, was a British Protestant missionary to China and a prolific author of missionary biographies. Daughter of revivalist preachers Henry Grattan Guinness and Fanny Grattan Guinness, she sailed to China at age 22 with the China Inland Mission and later married Frederick Howard Taylor, son of CIM founder Hudson Taylor. Over her decades of service she penned landmark works such as The Story of the China Inland Mission, Borden of Yale, and Triumph of John and Betty Stam, preserving the history of CIM workers for future generations.
